Mashlab began life as a research project undertaken at the Department of Programming and Software Engineering, LMU Munich, aided by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (http://www.exist.de).
The mashlab team has developed an intelligent web- based interface to enable users to publish their own media content and network with peers. This is achieved using a simple Internet portal that requires no knowledge of programming or html. The mashlab idea is to build a platform across Europe for culturally-minded people, that enables them to connect and share common interests.
The mashlab project will be membership funded.
